Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Plugtally collects and how it is used. It applies to https://www.plugtallycalc.com.

What we collect directly

Plugtally has no accounts, no sign-up and no contact forms. We do not ask you for your name, address or any other personal detail, and we do not sell or share personal information.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The appliance settings and state you choose are never transmitted to us. Your chosen state is stored in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it between pages; you can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and understand which guides are useful. It sets cookies in your browser and records the pages you visit, your approximate location, your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you.

Your approximate location is derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not retain IP addresses. Nothing Analytics collects identifies you by name, and we hold no personal information to combine it with.

Google processes this data on our behalf as our analytics provider. Their handling of it is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can stop it in either of these ways, and the site works normally without it:

• Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Block analytics cookies in your browser settings or with a content blocker.

Advertising and cookies

Plugtally is funded by display advertising served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data held about you, and to object to processing. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its sale — we do not sell personal information. Children

Plugtally is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the update date at the top of this page.
